As a Student Nurse Intern, you will work under direct supervision, providing essential support in both routine and technical aspects of nursing care for patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with patient care activities while adhering to best practices and protocols.
Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure compliance with the Joint Commission and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
Help maintain a safe and healing environment for patients and families.

Internship Requirements:
Must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program
Bachelor’s Degree Students : must have completed Junior year of nursing program prior to Summer 2026
Associate Degree Students: must have completed two semesters of nursing clinical prior to Summer 2026
Enrolled in a nursing co-operative internship course for the summer 2026 semester
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month of hire
Must be able to commit to 32-40 hours/week (up to 400 hours for the entire summer). Shifts: day, night, and weekend; 8 and 12 hour shifts
Students with full/part-time summer class loads will have adjusted hour requirements and must be able to commit to 32 hours every two weeks
Certification/Licensure Requirements:
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month of hire
BCLS certifications through Red Cross must be renewed through the American Heart Association if continuing as a senior nurse intern
This certification must not expire during the internship.
