Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support students within an elementary school setting in Emporia, KS. This contract position spans the current school year through May 2026 and offers both full-time and part-time opportunities with flexible hours. The role is onsite and focused on providing specialized speech-language services to students across one or two school district locations, depending on where the candidate resides: Emporia SD or Morris County SD.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language pathology services to elementary students, varying from small group sessions (10-12 students) to larger caseloads (50-55 students) depending on the day
  • Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student progress and maximize communication skills
  • Maintain thorough documentation and comply with state and federal special education regulations
  • Participate in progress meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions

Qualifications:

  • Valid Kansas Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
  • Experience working in school settings is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage varied caseload sizes with flexibility and adaptability

Location:Emporia, Kansas, with services provided onsite at either Emporia School District or Morris County School District based on candidate location.
