Job Title: Administrator Job Description This position serves as the first point of contact for customers depositing material at a transfer station or material recovery facility. The role involves interfacing directly with customers, calculating payments, checking loads, and ensuring safety compliance for both customers and employees.
Responsibilities - Greet and direct customers and other traffic, answering questions accurately.
- Correctly calculate payments for customers.
- Enter all extra charges and load grading into the computer as provided by site personnel.
- Ensure incoming loads are safe and free from inappropriate materials.
- Ensure customers and employees conduct business safely and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain general upkeep of the Scale House.
- Complete all administrative tasks, including regular filing and required reports.
- Keep the immediate supervisor informed of all issues or matters requiring attention.
- Perform required data entry and minor customer service tasks.
- Work all assigned shifts from the scheduled start time to the scheduled end time.
- Actively contribute to the improvement of workplace safety and health.
- Approach all interactions with employees, customers, and vendors with a friendly, service-oriented demeanor.
- Project a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and positive attitude that instills customer confidence and reflects a professional image.
- Participate in all required company meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment The role requires working from 5am to 4pm with a 30-minute lunch break. Employees may choose to work through lunch for overtime pay. The position demands a professional and service-oriented attitude in a highly-visible setting, projecting a positive image to customers.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stratford, CT.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
