Hourly Pay Range:
$19.31 - $28.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights: - Position: Phlebotomist II
- Location: Swedish Hospital
- Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 10am-6:30pm, rotating weekends and holidays
What you will do: - The Phlebotomist I will perform a variety of routine and special phlebotomy procedures as authorized by the Manager/Director.
- Responsible for ordering tests into the Laboratory and Hospital (LIS/HIS) computer systems and documenting Lab receipt of specimens.
- Includes minor processing of various laboratory specimens.
- For inpatients, ensures the proper wristband has been applied prior to scanning with Soft ID handheld device.
- Collects blood samples for specific tests ensuring volume is adequate and correct tubes are utilized.
What you will need: - Diploma or Vocational Degree Required Or
- High School Preferred
- Phlebotomy training experience strongly preferred.
- Outgoing compassionate personality.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated skills in phlebotomy, exceptional customer service skills as well as the ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- CPR or BLS - American Heart Association (AHA) PBT(ASCP) Preferred And
- CPR or BLS - American Heart Association (AHA) CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) for the Healthcare Provider Required
