Boeing’s Government Training Engineering (GTE) team is looking for a Senior Systems Engineering Manager for our St Louis, MO location to support a variety of platforms in our Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) portfolio. This role includes oversight of the Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) teams supporting the Aircrew and Maintenance training for a variety of platforms in the Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) portfolio: including the P-8 (Poseidon), KC-46 (Pegasus), C-17 (Globemaster III) and E-7 (Wedgetail) platforms.

Position Responsibilities:  

  • Management and oversight of 5 Systems Engineering First Line leaders and ~100 Systems Engineers & Analysts
  • Requirements, Architecture & Design
  • System & Sub-system Integration & Verification
  • System Validation
  • Ensure cross-functional team performance & on-time delivery within allocated budgets
  • Staffing, onboarding & development strategy for the Systems Engineering organization, in alignment with other Systems Engineering Sr. managers
  • Define and manage SEIT metrics to ensure effective and efficient execution of programs
  • Support proposal development for all MS&B proposals with SEIT scope and provide approvals in support of ESGP Gates and BGS Engineering Commitment Review (ECR)

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):  

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited course of study
  • 3+ years of engineering/technical experience on aircraft, mission systems or training solutions
  • 1+ years of experience with agile, SAFe or other workflow management best practices
  • 1+ years of engineering management experience
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time 

 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):  

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 3+ years of engineering management experience
  • 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams
  • 3+ years of experience working with customers and/or suppliers

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

 

Summary pay range: $178,500 – $241,500
