As an Airport Security Officer in Kailua-Kona, HI, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with the public, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Job Schedule:

Day Time

Mon 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Thur 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Requirements:

Valid Driver's License

21+ years of age

Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam

Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to assist with maintaining order at the location.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.

Monitor access points and observe for any unusual or suspicious behavior, reporting findings according to established protocols.

Maintain clear and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols.

Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and local authorities when necessary to address incidents and support a secure environment for all personnel and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.

A guard card or license is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
